In December 2006, Forestdale was selected as one of only three recipients for the NYC Administration for Children’s Services Community Partnership Initiative, a new citywide paradigm in child welfare services delivery. In addition, Forestdale’s Fathering Initiative was one of the first New York City programs to reach out to non-custodial fathers, and our Preventive Services, Youth Development and newly created NYC-funded Reinvestment programs continue to expand our services to children and families in need.
