Foster Parents of the Month: Erin St. Peter & Alex Armolovich
Ms. Erin St. Peter and Mr. Alex Armolovich have been the sole foster parents to the youth in their home since he entered foster care. Born and raised in Guinea, the youth came into their care isolated, traumatized, and adjusting to an entirely new culture. Erin and Alex welcomed him with compassion, patience, and respect, ensuring that he felt accepted and understood from the very beginning.
They have consistently gone above and beyond to meet his social, emotional, educational, and religious needs. Their home became a safe space where he could heal, grow, and eventually thrive. Through their steady support, advocacy, and nurturing environment, the youth have transformed into a confident, resourceful, and thriving young adults.
Erin and Alex have also been proactive in helping him acclimate to a new community and culture, finding thoughtful solutions and creating opportunities that honored his identity and supported his development. Their ability to bridge racial and cultural differences with humility and openness has been remarkable. Erin’s experiences traveling abroad allowed her to connect with the youth in meaningful ways, while both foster parents fully integrated their training with real-world understanding and genuine empathy.
From the start, Erin and Alex have been exemplary foster parents, modest, dedicated, and deeply committed to the well-being of the youth in their care. Their investment, advocacy, and unconditional support make them truly deserving for being the foster parent of the month.
